Oddly, this record's pulverizing grooves make me think of a hardcore version of Dying Fetus' "Destroy the Opposition". The songs are finely tuned for maximum pit destruction, rotating through a beautiful array of drum beats, with the core one being a stumpy polka beat that just screams "circle pit". The Siouxsie & the Banshees cover is both surprisingly faithful and surprisingly not out of place. I hope the band explores that melodic direction a bit more.
